I created Auromail.net in mid-2003 to provide reliable e-mail service to those of my friends and acquaintances for whom e-mail was important in their life or work. Most early users were from Pondicherry, India, the home of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram to which I belong. Membership of Auromail.net has since expanded to include users in other parts of India and abroad.
Simple rule of eligibility: I have to (1) know you or (2) know of you or (3) know someone who knows you before I can consider you for membership.
In addition, you also need to be familiar with the e-mail software you use (example: Outlook Express). You should be able to configure it for use with Auromail.net (for example, specifying POP and SMTP servers). Information is provided in the Usage Guide section to help you do so.
Auromail.net is a feature-rich premium service; it is not free. I have to pay a service provider to host and run Auromail.net for me and I recover the costs from the members. Consult the Rates page before contacting me with a request to become a member. Note that Auromail is only an e-mail address; it does not provide you independent Internet access. You have to be able to access the Internet to be able to use Auromail.
It is also important for you to read and understand the text on the disclaimer page.
I retain the right to refuse membership to anyone without specifying any
reason.![]()
