Auromail.net is powerful but easy to set up. It is a full POP, IMAP, SMTP
system; you can use any standard e-mail program such as Outlook Express or Thunderbird to
access/send mail. It also has web-mail access at www.auromail.net
which is very fast with no advertisements or slow-loading graphics.
| 10 GB mailbox size |
The total server space assigned to each user is a very generous 10
GB. For most users, this will mean that they will never have to delete
mail on the server.
|
| Free aliases |
Auromail.net allows free aliases. Users can obtain additional addresses
@auromail.net for family members, business, etc. without any extra
charge. Mail addressed to alias addresses is automatically forwarded
into the user’s mailbox.
|
| Use Auromail.net to send all your mail |
Auromail.net’s SMTP server for outgoing mail uses authentication
and it can be used to send all your outgoing mail, even mail that
does not have your Auromail.net address as the “From”
address .
This allows you to overcome your Internet Provider’s (ISP)
restrictions: connect to the Internet using any ISP and send mail
from any of your addresses/profiles. No need to have the From address
conform to that required by your ISP.
This feature is particularly useful if you travel with a portable
computer. You do not need to change any settings in your e-mail software
every time you are a new city or country.
|
| Anti-spam features |
Auromail.net has a powerful anti-spam filter called SpamShield Pro
which can be customised by the user. You can find an overview of SpamShield
Pro on Everyone.net’s site here.
|
| Comprehensive virus scanning |
All incoming mail is scanned for viruses by Everyone.net’s
powerful virus scanning system.
|
| Fast |
Auromail.net’s servers are fast. Mail is usually delivered
within seconds.
|
| No traffic limit |
Auromail.net has no traffic limits. Users have unlimited bandwidth;
there is no upper limit to the number of bytes of mail a user can
send or receive.
An incoming message can be as big as 25 MB as long as there is
space for it in the user’s 10-GB storage limit.
Each outgoing message can be as large as 25 MB. (Note: Some attachments
expand by up to 50% when sent by e-mail so effective maximum size
of an attachment may be limited to 17 MB or so.)
To prevent spamming, each user is limited to sending 500 messages per
day with no single message having more than 50 recipients (combination of
TO, CC and BCC).
|
| Auto-responder |
Each user can set up an Auto-Responder. A message that the user stores
with Auromail.net is automatically sent out “from” the
user in reply to each received e-mail. Useful if you are going on
vacation or are out of your office and want to acknowledge the receipt
of every e-mail during your absence.
|
| Mail forwarder |
Each user can set up a Mail Forwarder. Each incoming message can
be automatically forwarded by Auromail.net to one or more addresses
specified by the user. In addition, the user can choose (1) to leave
the messages in his In-box on the server or (2) to delete them after
they have been forwarded.
|
| Other features |
Other features include checking of external POP accounts, e-mail
notification to a different address, e-mail processing rules and SSL
access to the POP, IMAP and SMTP services..
