Usage guide: Configuring your e-mail software

Most e-mail software supports the POP and SMTP e-mail standards for sending and receiving e-mail.

There are five primary settings that you will need to configure in your e-mail software to use your Auromail.net account:

1. User Name (also called Account Name or User-ID): You must use your complete e-mail address: myname@auromail.net. (Don’t use just the part before the @.)
2. Password: Your password. This is the password that you assigned yourself when you changed it.
3. Incoming Mail Server (POP): pop.everyone.net
4. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.everyone.net
5. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Authentication: In order to send e-mail, you must set your e-mail software to use authentication when connecting to the outgoing mail server. (In Outlook Express, you have to check the My Server requires authentication box.) If your e-mail software asks you to enter a username and password, enter the same username and password that you entered in settings 1 and 2, above.
